This is a biblical comparison on the lives of children then, and now. Biblical children were 'children' for a very short period of their lives, since they were assigned adult responsibilities from as young as ten years old. Life as a teenager, for example, was non-existant. Young servants could be given at a tender age to become a concubine, a surrogate mother, or any other service of the master's whim. Girls were invisible and boys had huge responsibilities, yet, there were those who heard 'the call' and took the risk and followed God. These stories can inspire young adults to fight for the disenfranchised.
