The Psalms have been referred to as, 'The prayer book of the Bible,' 'book of praises,' and 'the Psalter'. A collection of songs of praise and thanksgiving, personal and communal laments, wisdom and retribution; the Psalms were used originally in the corporate/community worship experiences in Jewish synagogues and then in Christian churches. These reflections and prayers on the Psalms, were written by various university and college students, as well as a campus minister -- all of whom are involved in United Methodist Sponsored campus ministries. They, like you, have experienced what life has dealt them -- the good and the bad. They, like you, have also felt love, hatred, racism, oppression, pain, comfort, anger, joy and peace.
