At last, a resource that gets youth praying! Closer to God is a leader resource that utilizes an easy-to-remember, easy-to-do acronym--PRAY (P=Praise, R=Repent, A=Ask for Others, A=Ask about Prayer and Y=Yourself)-- to encourage youth to explore prayer as an important part of faith. Six step-by-step sessions (plus a bonus session that encourages youth to write a devotional) include Scripture studies as well as fun activities designed to build community with youth. Closer to God features: *Easily used in a variety of settings--in Sunday school, on a retreat, or at camp. *Flexibility of material for use in various time frames. *Addresses prayer postures (praying hands, an upstretched arm, etc.) *Leader material connects directly with youth prayer journal.
